To borrow Michael’s phrase the moment of his passing has been dreaded not just by South Africa – but by the rest of Africa. And indeed – the best of gratitude we can show him at this moment is to live out and proclaim the values of reconciliation, forgiveness and largeheartedness that he promoted.”
